FAQs
This depends on which pricing tier you select.
If you pay for the one-time, lifetime fee, you will own the license outright.
If you opt for the Yearly fee, then you will own the license conditionally based on timely annual payments for 2 years, and you will own the license outright after 2 years of payments have concluded.
If you opt for the Monthly fee, then you will own the license conditionally based on timely monthly payments for 20 months, and you will own the license outright after 20 months of payments have concluded.
You cannot resell the licensed components source code as is, but you can license or sell a unique product which includes the components source code to other customers. In the case of acquisition by a third party, license rights are transferable to the acquiring company and its immediate subsidiaries.
There are no other SaaS licenses or SaaS fees ‘hidden’ within our components. You can however opt to customize the source code by adding or integrating other SaaS products.
No, hosting and devops is not included, only the code itself. If you elect to hire Topflight, we would be able to assist with hosting and devops at a separate cost.
Generally, the answer is no. Any fixes or improvements done to the components code would be investments we make ourselves into the quality of the components code. You would only be responsible for the integration costs to bring the components code into a custom app, and any modifications to the code you elect to make yourself. For more details, see the Scenarios section of this document.
Yes, we have a dozen portfolio apps that are currently running with components. We are unable to share the specific apps due to NDA, but the apps range from telehealth to remote patient monitoring and even fintech. Even though we built these with telehealth apps in mind, we’ve found a broad range of use cases where they can save apps months of custom development time.
In contrast to low- or no-code solutions, you’re still getting a totally custom-built and -designed product with no limitations placed on functionality. This is basically a head start to building a custom product. The no-code option is meant to be suitable for usage right out of the box. If you require these functions (authentication, booking, communication) and nothing else, then no-code components may be a better fit for you.
Telehealth components consist of a codebase, and a codebase in and of itself (and we mean any codebase) cannot technically be HIPAA compliant. Becoming a HIPAA compliant entity requires a combination of technical safeguards (which we can handle if hired) and non-technical safeguards (which we handle for Topflight personnel only, unless we are tasked to conduct a Security Risk Assessment for your organization).
To maintain security within the components codebase, we conduct vulnerability scans when we make any updates to the codebase in github for improvements and new features.
If you elect to hire us for custom development services, then we apply all the technical safeguard requirements of HIPAA in the infrastructure for you, and we use cloud-based tools and services that comply with HIPAA under a BAA (Amazon Chime, Amazon Cognito, etc). Additionally, any personnel on our team with exposure to protected health information (PHI) is HIPAA trained.
