Boutique venture firm Bury Capital decided it was high time to introduce crazy crypto gains to the masses. They envisioned an investing DeFi app that strips away typical crypto complexities while offering generous returns at lower risk.

How do you design a crypto-savings account for an average investor? We started by replacing ₿ with $ and adding:

• frictionless KYC-compliant onboarding
• simple fiat money deposits/withdrawals
• total and projected earnings
• straightforward visual balance tracking 
• user profile and notifications
• detailed user activity log

The end result is an intuitive app for retail and business investors looking to safely park their funds and earn yields unachievable with traditional banking products.

DeFi App under the Hood

Behind the pretty facade, we had to tame a swarm of crypto technologies — the seamless onramp from fiat to stablecoins guarantees predictable, impressive yields.

• integrated with Plaid and Wyre for fiat-crypto on/off-ramp
• used Wyre’s secure KYC onboarding
• implemented secure crypto wallets
• built an API to accurately calculate the APY

We also set up an admin portal for Bury Capital to manage the DeFi app’s content and settings.

• 256-bit bank-grade encryption
• multi-signature crypto wallets
• two-factor authentication

The app also relies on Plaid and Wyre to comply with crypto regulations and streamline fiat on-ramp and KYC.
