DeFi Apps EcoSystem for a Metaverse Game

Citizen Finance emerged as a DeFi ecosystem for a play-to-earn metaverse game. Topflight helped CF create the blockchain apps powering the platform.

The suite of defi apps allows players to take part in the GameFi economy by earning, trading, staking, and lending user-owned in-game tokenized assets.

The Heart of the GameFi Economy

Metalands players 100% own crypto and NFT assets they obtain while playing the game. To help them get on top of this gamefi economy, we built a DEX — decentralized crypto exchange.

NFT Marketplace

Every in-game collectible, such as skins or guns, represents an NFT that gamers can trade, stake, or use as collateral to borrow other crypto tokens.

In the near future, players will be able to create their own skins, using a dedicated online image editor, and sell them as NFTs on the marketplace.

DeFi Challenges

The first thing every founder of a blockchain project attacks is the cost and speed of transactions because that impacts adoption the most. So we opted for relatively new chains, Polygon and Binance Smart Chain, instead of Ethereum.

Flexible Development

Agile was an easy choice for the project since the front-end and blockchain pieces had to be developed simultaneously. We also put a DevOps process in place to run dev, QA, and deployment cycles faster and avoid potential hiccups.

The client genuinely appreciated the continuous development environment seeing how code seamlessly turns into engaging user experiences.

We continue working on further enhancements of the dapp ecosystem to help Citizen Finance drive mass adoption.

Thanks to the dapps we built, Metalands has become one of the first metaverse games where players get to enjoy true ownership of their in-game assets. Every collectible they create or win can be staked, traded, gifted, or collateralized with no limitations.
